Abstract

The broaching machine processing was modified and a broaching machine for the manufacturing of an automatic loading and unloading device was built in order to satisfy the real production needs of a machining firm in the low production efficiency, labour intensity, process flow complexity, and other genuine challenges. In this paper, the automatic loading and unloading workflow and layout scheme are analysed. The overall structure of the loading and unloading device and its key components are designed, and a three-dimensional model is established using Solidworks software. A static analysis of the limit position in the operation process is conducted using ANSYS Workbench, a finite element analysis programme, and the maximum deformation under the limiting conditions is found to be 0.1129mm, and the maximum stress value is found to be 24.236MPa. The structure is then checked to make sure it meets the design specifications for strength, stiffness, and resonance of the entire machine. This is done by performing modal analysis, which extracts the first six orders of intrinsic frequency and the corresponding vibration pattern. Based on the results of modal analysis, harmonic response analysis is then performed on the weak components.
